Limpieza diaria. Y buena calidad precio.
After I made my booking I tried to contact the hotel twice by Email and never gotten any answer. I was a bit worried when arriving and walking from the metro (800 meters walk, not advicable with heavy luggage) I passed by the entrance door three times until I realized the almost unreadable sign at the doorbell. I rang the bell and the door opened immediately. After having found the light switch in the complete dark entrance hall I made my way up to the first 1/2 floor, where the elevator was located. Inside no sign on which floor the reception was. I decided to go one by one up and after having left the elevator I saw the entrance 1/2 floor downstairs. So I crabbed my two suitcases and carried them 1/2 floor down again. I've been welcomed by a young, very friendly woman, but it was impossible to communicate with her as she didn't speak one word in English (as I found out like many, many people in Madrid don't). So we used Google Translate to exchange some information I was asking for. I got the room right next to the reception which was small (known from the booking) and quite nice with even a little french balcony facing the alley. I sometimes took the chair of the desk outside to enjoy the sun around noon. The location of the hotel is in a very busy area, day and night so the street noise of people walking through the little alley can be heard all night long, especially during weekends. I liked the young crowd having fun walking by but its certainly not everyone's joy at night. It didn't bother me and I slept well. The bed is very comfortable by the way. What did bother me was the noise at the reception, which was just like next to the bed and to my head, early in the morning and the doors banging (door sealings would be a cheap way to solve that) as the main entrance to the one-floor-hotel is right opposite to my room door. Until the last day I couldn't figure out how to open the doors downstairs and upstairs with the keys. It was every time trying to open one like a puzzle, much patience and tact was needed. At the end I had a great week there and seeing the very likable and always busy like a beaver cleaning woman was always a joy. Once I heard a couple downstairs desperately trying to get into the hotel for check in by ringing and shouting - one has to know the reception desk is only open for a few hours in the afternoon. The shower was a bit moldy and could need a little fresh-up as well as the heaving sliding door made of glas to the bathroom which was almost impossible to move.
